Marti Pellow joins Blood Brothers

Bill Kenwright’s production of Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers has welcomed former member of boy band Wet Wet Wet, Marti Pellow, to the cast of the long running musical.
The Scot, a well seasoned stage performer following stints in The Witches of Eastwick and Jekyll and Hyde, stepped into the role of the Narrator at the Phoenix from November 1st.
Written by the legendary Willy Russell, BLOOD BROTHERS tells the captivating and moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with tragic consequences.
The incredible score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It's Not True.
Hailed as one of the best musicals of all time - scooping up no less than four awards for best musical in London and seven Tony Award nominations on Broadway - Blood Brothers is celebrating 21 years in London's West End.
IMPORTANT INFO: The recommended age for children is age 12 and above. Children under the age of 4 will not be admitted to the theatre.

Chicago - new cast for 2012

Returning to the role of Roxie Hart is Sarah Soetaert who has also appeared in the West End production of Kiss Me Kate.
Rachel McDowell who plays Velma Kelly is probably best recognized as playing Lisa in the film version of Mamma Mia, as well as roles in the latest James Bond film Quantum of Solace, and Streetdance: 3D.
Joining them is Terrence Maynard as Billy Flynn who has had numerous TV appearances including Merlin, Holby City, Young Dracula and most recently Public Enemies.
Entering what will be its 15th year in London, this universal tale of fame, fortune and... all that jazz, recounts the kiss-and-tell tale of chorus girl Roxie Hart who kills her lover; her rivalry with glamorous double-murderer Velma Kelly and their slick lawyer, Billy Flynn's attempts to keep his clients from Death Row.
From the unforgettable first blast of All That Jazz right through to the last note of its sizzling jazz-drenched score and from the sensuous choreography inspired by the legendary Bob Fosse to its sensational performers, Chicago is a musical phenomenon like no other.

Cast Changes in The Phantom of the Opera

Great news for Swedish fans of Peter Jöback as he will be joining the cast of The Phantom of the Opera starring as “The Phantom” from 19th March 2012.
Peter Jöback is one of the most prolific and respected Swedish artists. As a recording artist, Peter has been awarded gold and platinum discs for all of his releases as well as several Grammy nominations.
Cameron Macintosh discovered Peter’s talent early and offered him the lead as “Chris” in Miss Saigon at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London’s West End in 1997. Three years later, Peter created the role of “Michael” in Macintosh’s original production of The Witches of Eastwick at the same theatre. Peter also took part in the recent 25th Anniversary celebrations of The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall, performing alongside Sarah Brightman.br> THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA became the longest running show in Broadway history on 9 January 2006 when it celebrated its 7,486th performance, surpassing the previous record holder "Cats". This coincided with the Broadway and the US national touring company celebrating an unprecedented 20,000 performances in the United States. In October 2010 the London production celebrated its 10,000th performance.
THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA has won over 60 major theatre awards, including seven Tonys on Broadway and three Olivier Awards in the West End. It won the 'Most Popular Musical Audience Award', voted by the public, in the 2002 Laurence Olivier Awards.
